Cardio Exercises

The heart is a muscle, and it gets stronger when you use it. There is a definite link between cardio exercises and heart disease prevention.

People who get off the couch regularly and engage in some form of physical activity they enjoy have a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Not only that, but they may also lower their risk of osteoporosis, depression, and anxiety disorders as well.

Staying active helps people to deal with stress more effectively. Engaging in cardiovascular exercise, which includes cardiovascular activities and weight-bearing activities, helps to release endorphins. These hormones produce a feeling of well-being and help to reduce overall stress levels.

Building muscle helps you to lose weight and keep it off, too. Unlike fat, muscle is living tissue, and it burns calories to feed itself. The more muscle you have in your body, the more fat you will burn. That’s a good reason in itself to get moving.
